As a maintenance engineer who loves programming, I try to leverage my technical skills in both areas to create more efficient and effective maintenance processes. My areas of focus include:

Automation: Look for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks such as data entry or equipment diagnostics. I have built VBA/Python applications to handle such tasks and save time, while reducing human error.
Data Analysis: Monitor performance of equipment and identify potential issues before they become major problems. By identifying trends and patterns that might indicate potential failures, proactive measures can be taken to prevent downtime.
Predictive Maintenance: Use data analysis and machine learning algorithms to predict when equipment is likely to fail, allowing maintenance teams to proactively schedule repairs or replacements before a failure occurs.
Process Optimization: Use programming skills to optimize processes, such as fault logs and alert systems.

Currently, I am a Maintenance Engineer at Rakon Limited, where I have used my strong understanding of maintenance processes of the organisation to streamline processes, reduce downtime and improve efficiency by applying my skills in new and innovative ways.

Jan 2021 — Present Rakon | Maintenance Engineer

Program a Python application for the production floor, that raises an alert in case of a breakdown, tracks live machine downtime, log faults and stores troubleshooting actions/procedures. This is then broadcasted to a PowerBI dashboard to track KPIs.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs and calibration on a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems, including temperature test chambers, packing machines, laser markers, sorters and welders.
Use Python, R and PowerBI to analyse machine performance, breakdown trends and machine output efficiency.
Work in cross functional teams towards continuously improving maintenance processes and procedures for optimal operation.

Program a data entry system using VBA for maintenance team to record all breakdowns and store all information to a SQL database for future reference
